Open Innovation

In partnership with Innovation Lab Ltd we have developed a simple but very effective process for enabling mid-size businesses to exploit the best ideas of their workforce. The process has been deployed successfully by Prof David Auckland and his team with numerous businesses across the UK.

The process in summary
  1. Ideas -   Multi-disciplinary team(s) are pulled together from across the business to originate and discuss their ideas on how to add value to the company.
  2. Presentations -  The best idea(s) from each team are selected for presentation to the Senior Management in a Dragons Den style pitch.
  3. Validation -  Having agreed which idea(s) is worthy of further investigation a detailed business plan is created for that idea.
  4. Testing - Having demonstrated validity to the Senior Management a member of the Management will sponsor the innovation through a testing phase.
  5. Deployment - Following successful testing the idea will be implemented and measured.
The Open Innovation team will coach the business throughout the process.

The Benefits

If your business is failing to generate the innovation that is essential to the future, then "Open Innovation" could bridge the gap. Using our neutrality means that the staff will filter their own ideas and the management will ony be asked to review and make key decisions.

The outcomes should include increased profitability, staff buy in at all levels & an established process for ensuring future innovation from within.
